How to change the Font of the theme?

Typography is one of the most important parts of blog and magazine design.

WP Royal includes predefined typography settings designed for:

  • Readability
  • Clean spacing
  • Professional hierarchy
  • Long-form content comfort

Step 1: Open Typography Settings #

  1. Go to Appearance → Editor
  2. Click the Styles icon
  3. Click Edit Styles
  4. Select Typography

You are now inside global typography settings.

Option 1: Use the Predefined Typography #

WP Royal comes with a predefined font system.

This includes:

  • Heading font
  • Body font
  • Button font
  • Font sizes
  • Font weights
  • Line height

The predefined typography ensures:

  • Proper readability for blog content
  • Balanced heading hierarchy
  • Comfortable paragraph spacing

If you want a safe, optimized setup — keep the default typography.

Option 2: Customize the Existing Typography #

If you want to personalize your website, you can adjust:

  • Font family
  • Font size
  • Font weight
  • Line height
  • Letter spacing
  • Text transformation (uppercase, lowercase)

You can customize:

  • Entire website typography
  • Individual elements (Headings, Paragraphs, Buttons, Links)
  • Specific heading levels (H1, H2, H3, etc.)

For example:

  • Change only H1 font
  • Increase paragraph line height
  • Make buttons uppercase
  • Adjust font weight for headings

All changes made here will apply site-wide.

Changing Fonts for Specific Elements #

Inside Typography, you can click:

  • Text → Controls body text
  • Headings → Controls all heading styles
  • Links → Controls link styling
  • Buttons → Controls button typography

If you want advanced control, you can adjust typography for each block individually.

Important Reminder About Typography #

  • Changing fonts in Global Styles affects the entire website.
  • Changing fonts inside a single block only affects that block.
  • Keep readability as your top priority — especially for blogs.

For magazine-style websites like WP Royal, clean typography improves engagement and reading time.
